Wedding at Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam
Two beautiful people, an intimate setting to say Yes I do. And only a handful of people witnessing the vows that tie your love, your passion for the one and true person you found in your life. This is how you could describe in a few words the wedding I shot from Samantha and Michael. I was honored that they chose my as their wedding photographer. Amsterdam is my hometown and a wedding on a Tuesday morning on a hot summer day is just a nice treat.
We started the day directly at City Hall of Amsterdam where I waited alongside Michael for Samantha to appear. And oh my, this beautiful woman made an entrance that even made me gaze. With her brother – a professional stylist – as a help, it was the dress, the makeup and the hair that made her but none of this would have been shining without the love she feels for Michael. Nothing in the world can make you shine as the partner you love so much.
After the ceremony, we headed off to the Waldorf Astoria where we stepped into the private boat and enjoyed a delicious Red Velvet cake and Champagne. And that is also the day I learned that Red Velvet cake is actually created in the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. We had some time left after the boat before their family dinner started and I left. So we walked around in Amsterdams beautiful center and took some shots and had some good laughs.
